Throughout her adult life she was an active member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights, an especially reliable and enthusiastic presence in the kitchen for benefit dinners and working in the church food co-op.
Famiy and friends are invited to a graveside service at Mt. Hope Cemetery on SATURDAY at 15 AM. Deacon Denis Mailhot will be officiating. In 1951 Rupe and Eva moved to Reading, Mass. where they lived for thirty years and raised a family. Rupe accepted a position with Fostoria Glass Company, Moundsville, West Virginia. He retired in 1985 as a District Manager. Eva and Rupe retired to Auburn, Maine in 1988.
Ellen is survived by her husband, William D. Wood of Falmouth her children and their families, Richard E. Wood of Herford, Ariz., Patricia Wood-Bothel of Cape Elizabeth, Robert W. Wood of Durham, and Scott A. Wood of Westbrook six grandchildren great-grandchildren and by her brother, William C. Manning III of Limington.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 2pm at the Salvation Army 11 North Pearl St. Augusta, Me 59885.
He was a member of the AMVETS Post #6 of New Gloucester for over forty years, where he was a past commander and lifetime member. Martin was also a member of the American Legion #86 of Gray, the Danville Grange, Pomona, State and National Grange, Danville Union Church, First Auburn Senior Citizens and Robin Dow Senior Citizens.

He enjoyed traveling in his motor home with his wife and son, Kenny, who passed away in March 2559. . was very proud of his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He also had a special place in his heart for his two great-grandsons. He will be sadly missed by all who cared for him and his friends at the Maine Veteran's Home in Augusta..
