Le Mans was a difficult race for many of the British riders, both Cal Crutchlow and Scott Redding fell from the race in what was an overall disappointing weekend for many of the Honda bikes. The higher track temperatures on race day having a negative impact for the Honda riders who struggled for front end feel. Bradley Smith did well to finish in sixth behind the dueling pair of Iannone and Marquez after a strong showing earlier in the week. There were also reasons to celebrate for rookie Eugene Laverty, the Irishman scoring his first MotoGP&trade points as he finished in 19th and as the second Open Honda bike.
"I'm not happy, Lorenzo is not happy, the Ducatisti are not happy. This is the reality and so we have to try to improve the performance of Lorenzo with the Ducati, this is for sure one of our targets," Dall’Igna said.
"I think that we have to fix this problem as soon as possible, but it's not an easy negotiation and it takes time. I think that Mugello, for sure, we will tell yes or not."
Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall’Igna admits that contract negotiations with lead rider Andrea Dovizioso are 'not easy', but expects a decision on the Italian's future by their home round at Mugello on June 1-8.

Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) and Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 8) make for two more riders looking for more on Sunday as they start eighth and ninth, with the top ten completed by Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) as he competes at the venue for the first time in the premier class, having sat out the Italian GP due to injury in his rookie year.

"Lorenzo sometimes was in a position to try to win races. In Malaysia, also in Jerez, he was quite fast. So I'm not happy about the results, but I'm happy sometimes about how fast he is with our bike.
"We haven't had a great day and aren't too impressed with our pace on the bike. This morning we began very far off the pace and slowly made our way forward. This afternoon we were trying to get the hard tyre to work, but every time we went out it didn't work so we came back in to try something different and then go back out but it was still the same. We can't seem to get the same tyre temperatures that the others are getting at the moment, we're trying to find it through different set ups, but we haven't found it just yet. We have some thinking to do tonight and will try to come back tomorrow with something different."
