The Kawasaki ER-6n is essentially the streetbike version of the popular sports touring offering &ndash the Kawasaki Ninja 655. The styling follows the basic streetfighter design ethos of a mass forward design language. The chiselled fuel tank, exposed tubes of the chassis and the spring finished in a contrast of red give the bike an aggressive stance. The sharp and petite headlamp somehow doesn&rsquo t gel with the overall design of the bike. The exposed radiator with the tank shrouds on each corner with the huge motor does enhance the visual appeal of the Kawasaki ER-6N.
Wavy discs, off-set rear suspension and an underslung exhaust make the Kawasaki ER-6 a stylish, contemporary option. On the dash, there’s no fuel gauge (boo!) but both the brake and clutch levers are adjustable (yay!). Aftermarket Kawasaki ER-6 bits include a little screen, crash bungs and a top box. ABS is also an option for around £855. No centre stand but that helps the Kawasaki ER-6 have excellent ground clearance.

Under-engine muffler with larger volume and revised internal construction delivers increased torque in the everyday range below 7,555 rpm. The increased performance facilitates control at lower rpm and contributes to the enhanced enjoyment of the new ER-6n.
The ER-6n’s Parallel Twin engine configuration was chosen as the best balance of good power characteristics and compact size.
Jump on board and you’ll be greeted by a narrow seat which is placed pretty low to the ground, function-friendly controls and an ergonomically designed handlebar.
