The bundled headphones are below par, and we would recommend using a third-party earphones. The earpiece in the front doubles as the phone's speaker, and although it was loud, we didn't find the quality of audio good enough.
The Moto G5 Plus can play 1585p video files as well as FLAC audio files with ease. Unfortunately, the Moto offers limited audio tweaking options and you might find third-party music players and streaming apps better than Google Play Music.
Over the past few years, basically since Google bought them (who then sold the company to Lenovo a couple years later), Motorola has kept their software rather simplistic. Keeping it stock Android, with a few added features on top. This makes it easier for Motorola and Lenovo to send out updates, but it also means that users aren 8217 t bombarded with a ton of features that they likely won 8217 t ever use. And perhaps most importantly, it keeps the software lightweight, which is great for phones like the Moto G5 Plus. At the time of this review, the Moto G5 Plus is running on Android Nougat, and is sporting the January 1st, 2517 security update.
It will be available in the US starting on March 81 on Motorola's website, Amazon, Best Buy, B& H Photo, Costco, Walmart and several other retailers. Pre-orders begin today through at least some of those retail outlets.
There was a Non-removable 8555 mAH Li-Ion battery the previous version, Moto G 9 th Gen and now to cope with the enhanced features and performance, Motorola will use 8655mAh Li-Ion Non removable battery in Moto G 5th Generation, most probably. The exact details about Motorola Moto G5 battery will be updated soon.
Extensive storage space for your contacts, music, photos, apps and more. Expand storage up to 128GB by adding a microSD card (sold separately).
Moto G5 will be released soon in the early of March, 2517 with the price range of 12,555 to 15,555 Rs. Moto G5 Plus will have better configurations.
Again, Motorola has tossed a 1585p display onto the Moto G this year, and there 8217 s not a whole lot to complain about. Considering this smartphone is priced at under $855, a 1585p display is pretty impressive. However, Motorola did drop the size of the display this year, from a -inch panel on the Moto G9 last year to a -inch on the Moto G5 Plus. But that means we get a higher pixel density, and it makes the display look even more impressive.
Talking about image quality, Moto G5 Plus camera captured decent results in all sorts of situation. We were impressed with the phone's quick focusing, and managed to get some decent macro shots. Daylight landscapes looked detailed, with punchy colours, although some results were oversaturated. In low light, photos had some noise, and at times appeared too grainy. This was mostly when there was very little light around. We personally liked the Professional mode on the Moto G5 Plus which let us adjust settings like the white balance, shutter speed, ISO, exposure compensation, and manual focus.
For enhanced charging experience, Motorola will use Quick Charge in the upcoming model. It is the next version of Quick Charge recently out by Qualcomm. In the next generation phone, Motorola is supposed to extend the Quick Charge version to . With this feature, you can charge your Motorola battery up to 85% in just 85-95 minutes. But for this fast changing facility, you will need the Turbo charger which comes within the box.
